Types of Window Treatments

It’s important to know your options when it comes to window blinds and shutters, and what type will be best for your home. At The Blind and Shutter Store we have eight different types of blinds and shutters for you to choose from as well as window tinting. We want to cover five main options available for you to choose from.

  1. Cellular Window Shades

Cellular window shades are highly customizable and can be very efficient for blocking out heat. They come in a wide variety of fabrics, colors and lifting systems. A benefit to cellular window shades is that they don’t have to cover the entire window, and can be moved around to best block the sun.

  1. Plantation Shutters

Plantation shutters are known for the feeling of warmth and sophistication they provide. These shutters help to provide an extra layer of security to your home, because they are thicker than other options.

  1. Vertical Blinds

Vertical blinds provide a clean and sheek look to a home. They are arranged in panels to stay in the vertical style. Vertical blinds, like cellular window shades, are highly customizable. You have the ability to customize the colors, textures, and patterns, as well as you have the choice between fabric, vinyl and aluminum.

  1. Roman Shades

Roman shades are similar to vertical blinds, in that they are arranged in panels. However, they give a softer and more elegant look. The shades have beautiful folds to create an extra layer of depth and softness. Roman shades are also customizable in the colors of the fabric, as well as how much light you want filtered through.

  1. Window Tinting

Window tinting is a great addition to your home and is a newer offering. Similar to car tint, you have the option of how dark you want the tint. A benefit is that while you can see out of the window, it is harder for others to see into your home.
